USAOP 33 Archery Level 1 & Level 2 Instructor Clinics

USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Clinic

The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course provides graduates the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety both on and off the archery range and ensures that minimum standards for archery instruction are consistently taught to provide for the safety and enjoyment of the participants, instructors and spectators. Level 1 Instructors are well prepared to teach beginner archery programs to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of both indoor and outdoor settings in the disciplines of target, field or 3-D archery. 


The Level 1 Instructor will learn about range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans.

Course Length: 8 am to 6pm


Location: : The Oaks, 777 S IH35 E, Red Oak, TX.

Course Cost:  $120 


Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion
Prerequisites:  Minimum age is 15*

All Level 1 Instructors who assist in a USA Archery Club are required to obtain a Range Pass.


What Is A Range Pass?:


A Range Pass is required for any club employee, volunteer, coach, judge or member who has routine access to minors within a USA Archery or Club event or activity. The responsibility of monitoring this policy within club events and activities lies with the Club. 

A Range Pass has an additional set of requirements 

  • USA Archery Membership 
  • Background Screening 
  • SafeSport Training

Please note USA Archery Level 1 Instructors that will have routine access to minors within a USA Archery or Club event or activity are required to obtain a Range Pass. 

Cancellations:

  • Cancelations must be made at least 7 days prior to the course to receive a full refund or credit toward a future course.
  • Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to the course will receive a 50% credit towards a future course.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the course will not receive a refund or credit.

USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Clinic​

The Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course includes the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development and events as well as qualifies students to teach the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course. Graduates of the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course are well prepared to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery Program and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, as well as the Explore Archery program.


Course Length: Two Days - Friday, May 25th, 2018: 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm and
Saturday, May 26th, 2018: 8:30 am - 6 pm


Course Cost: $220.00


Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

  • Minimum age is 18
  • Membership to USA Archery*, National Field Archery Association (NFAA) or Archery Shooters Association (ASA)
  • SafeSport Training

  • USA Archery Background Screening
  • SafeSport Training

* Important Note: A USA Archery Temporary, Recreational, and/or Youth Membership will not satisfy the membership requirement.

  •  Qualified to teach the Level 1 Instructor Certification Course
  • Eligible to apply for Level 2 Instructor Trainer Certification
